About Jess
Hi, I’m Jess—founder of The Sales Ops Team.
I’ve spent the better part of a decade working in and around sales teams, leading CRM implementations, building reporting infrastructure, and untangling the chaos that so many growing companies find themselves in.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
Sales ops is the cornerstone to success in any sales org.
I’ve lived the CRM nightmare—so you don’t have to.
Like many operators, I was once handed a fresh CRM login and told, “Just set it up.” This came after years of advocating for the CRM, and after we had just lost four top clients in one month due to dissatisfaction with our team's subjective approach to accountability, communication, and sales results.
No strategy. No process. No alignment. Just a ticking clock and a sales team already doing things 12 different ways under nervous leadership.
Time to focus on measurable outcomes.
I learned the hard way how a poor setup creates friction, bad data, and reporting no one trusts. And I learned how to fix it—cleanly, simply, and in a way real people actually use.
That’s what led me to start The Sales Ops Team: to help early-stage and growth-stage companies avoid the mistakes I’ve seen (and lived through).
What I Bring to the Table
10+ years in sales, sales operations, sales enablement, territory and compensation design, and CRM optimization
Experience leading CRM onboarding projects across Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, RepFabric, and Copper
Fractional support for $1–10M companies building their first real rev ops foundation
A no-BS, plainspoken approach to systems, processes, and reporting
Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Western Governor’s University
I don’t do fluff. I don’t build dashboards that no one uses.
I do build structure, clarity, and trust in your sales engine, so your team can focus on selling.
Montana Roots, Scalable Strategy
I run The Sales Ops Team from my home base in Western Montana, where life can move a little bit slower, but I don’t. I believe the best systems are like good land: stable, well-tended, and built to last.
Let’s Work Together
If you’re scaling, rebuilding, or just trying to get out of the CRM weeds—I’m here for it.
Let’s untangle the mess and build something that works.
On a personal note
Born and raised in Wisconsin, I followed my lifelong dream to live in Montana when I was in my early 20’s. My first career was in healthcare, where I was part of a leadership apprenticeship program that instilled ASQ’s Lean Six Sigma methodology in me. I spent nearly 15 years in Sporting Goods as a sales rep and learned that Sales Operations was where I could combine Lean Six Sigma principles with the typically chaotic sales process, and that is where the fire was ignited. I returned to college as a mid-30’s adult to obtain my Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Western Governors University’s online program.
